Juli 24th, 2013
From 1st July 2013, the Construction Products Directive replaced the Construction Products Regulation. This means it is mandatory for all construction products covered by a harmonized standard or European technical assessment, such as a steel beam or column to be CE marked to demonstrate that it has been manufactured to a standard and a set of procedures agreed by member states of the European Union and European Economic Area.
From 1st July 2014, all fabricated structural steelwork will also have to be CE- marked.
In view of this, Barnshaw Section Benders Limited is pleased to announce, that following a recent assessment by Lloyds Register LRQA, we are now certified to ‘CE Mark’ steelwork in accordance with the Construction Products Regulation product standard EN 1090-1; Requirements for conformity assessment of structural components.
Our scope covers, supply of curved components to Execution Class 4 (Exc4)
A CE-marked product means;
